Nevertheless, we were happy that we didn't have to line up. Other cars had already got in and it was before 6 when we arrived. We went again last night and we didn't have to line up at all to get in (we assumed it was because it waan't school holidays) but we were under the impression that the gates didn't open till 6pm. We had a good view of the screen though and we enjoyed both movies. The first time we went, there was a long line of cars waiting to get in before 6pm and it took a while to get in. My partner and I have been to Galaxy drive in twice now, the first time in January this year and then again last night. I highly recommend it to anyone for a great night out. It just brings back memories of a simpler time. I love seeing the folks doing as they used to when I was a kid, backing the car in with the tailgate up, kids on a mattress on the roof or mattress in the back of the ute. I always have so much fun and I don't mind having to drive 40 minutes to get there, it is worth it. Bear in mind, the movies start depending on what time it gets dark so earlier in the winter and later in the summer, check the website or phone to check details. If it's school holidays or they have a really popular movie, go early too! The snack bar sells an excellent and cheap selection of popcorn, ice creams, hot and cold drinks and pizza, chips and burgers too! It is so cheap in fact you can get a movie and snacks here for the same price as a regular movie ticket at Hoyts. Get in early to get a good spot especially on a Friday or Saturday night when they have a double feature, it gets packed. Wed/Thurs A$9/C$4/Under 4 free, Fri/Sat/Sun (Double feature, 2 movies) A$10/C$5/Under 4 free. I went to the drive-ins last night and had a great time, as always! I love this place! I usually attend about six times a year and I don't mind what the weather is.
